Mourning the Loss of a Brother

It is with deep regret that the Williamstown Fire Company announces the passing of Former Chief Edward Derrickson on Monday September 1st after a valiant fight with cancer. He was a firefighter with the Williamstown Fire Company for 61 years and served as Chief of the Department from 1965-1969, Company Treasurer for 33 years and Fire Police Officer. He was also currently serving as Monroe Twp's Deputy Mayor. Edward Derrickson touched a lot of peoples lives and will never be forgotten!

Fire Prevention Week

Tuesday October 7th the Williamstown Fire Company will hold its annual Fire Prevention Open House during National Fire Prevention Week. This year's theme is Prevent Home Fires. Everyone is welcome to come out to the Fire House on Main Street to meet the men and women of the Williamstown Fire Company and watch some live demonstrations on how to prevent house fires. Members from the Company will also be visiting several area schools during school hours on Monday October 6th and Tuesday October 7th.

Williamstown Rotary Softball Marathon

Saturday August 23rd the Williamstown Fire Company participated in the Rotary Softball Marathon, at the Church Street Fields, against the FOP. The outcome was not in favor of the fire company but all had a good time while raising money! Engine 2914 was on display in the parking lot showing of the new combination rescue tool that the Fire Department purchased with a generous donation from the Williamstown Rotary.

Death Burial Fund Drive, Round 2

Round 2 of the Annual Death Burial Fund Drive is now taking place! the second round of envelopes were mailed in the beginning of August. All the members of the company appreciate your support. The Death Burial Fund provides us firefighters some comfort knowing if we make the ultimate sacrifice with a Line of Duty Death our wives/husbands will get some monetary support. July 4th Glow Necklace Sales

The Fire Department thanks you for your support during the July 4th glow necklace sale. Necklaces were being sold around the firework grounds by members of the Fire Department's Social Committee. The Committee contains newer members of the Fire Department and its main mission is to raise money for the Company and its events. All proceeds from the sales are being put towards our Centennial Celebration in 2009. We appreciate your support!
