- - Wednesday 12/31/08 @ 22:23 - Multiple calls As command was arriving at the Stanger Ave fire county advised of another call in 291's local. This was a fully involved 24x24 structure on Green Ave. Command advised to have the cover companies handle the call. Station 295 arrived and extinguished the blaze. Cover companies also handled a vehicle fire and alarm system while Station 291 was at Stanger Ave.
- - Wednesday 12/31/08 @ 22:23 - Dwelling On new years eve, Station 291 was called to Stanger Ave for a reported Dwelling fire. County advised the caller saw fire around the fireplace. Command arrived to nothing showing and upon further investigation found heavy fire in the chimney with extension into the attic. Crews made an aggressive interior attack of the attic fire. Evacuation tones were hit and crews went defensive. Multiple master streams in service to bring the fire under control. 3 firefighters were transported to the hospital with injuries.
- - Wednesday 12/31/08 @ 12:22 - 3 Wires calls With strong winds moving thru the area Engine 291 was called out for 3 back to back wires calls. The first call was for a large tree lying on primary lines while the other 2 were for poles and wires down. Crews handled all calls without incident.
- - Friday 12/26/08 @ 18:53 - Dwelling Friday evening Station 291 was called to Longfellow Drive for a reported dryer fire. Command arrived with nothing showing and found the fire to be extinguished. Crews arrived shortly after and went into service removing the dryer from the residence. With no further fire department services needed the station went available in 20 minutes.
- - Wednesday 12/24/08 @ 22:39 - Wires On Christmas Eve Engine 291 was called to Tuckahoe Road, near the Cross Keys Airport, for reports of a car vs. pole motor vehicle crash with wires down on the vehicle. Command arrived on location and confirmed the reports. Atlantic City Electric arrived about 40 minutes later. Crews cleared about 90 minutes after dispatch when the wires were removed from the car and the vehicle removed from the roadway.
- - Sunday 12/21/08 @ 11:23 - Cover 10-2 Sunday morning Engine 291 was called to cover Washington Township Station 10-2 while district 10 was at a working fire on Joseph Drive. Crews responded to 10-2's Substation where they remained until 14:33. While covering, crews handled a wires call in 10-2's local, on Hurffville Crosskeys Road.
- - Sunday 12/21/08 @ 02:17 - MVC Sunday morning Engine 291 was called to Route 322, near Flanagan Road, for a reported motor vehicle crash. Dispatch advised that, due to reports from the scene, the helicopter would be flying. Command arrived on location shortly after and found a car vs dump truck. Dispatch then advised the helicopters were grounded due to weather. Crews assisted the rescue with extrication and loaded of the patient, secured power to the vehicle and applied oil dry to the roadway. Once the car was removed the company went available
- - Wednesday 12/10/08 @ 15:52 - Vehicle Wednesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Madison Plaza for a reported vehicle fire. Command arrived on scene of a fully involved engine compartment fire and confirmed a working vehicle fire. Crews arrived shortly later and extinguished the blaze. No injuries reported and the company was available shortly after.
- - Sunday 12/07/08 @ 15:30 - Dwelling On a cold, windy Sunday afternoon Station 291 was called to the Twelve Oaks Development for an all hands working dwelling fire. Dispatch advised of multiple calls for a well involved dwelling, with the residents not home. Command arrived shortly later and struck the second alarm. Crews went in service with multiple hand lines and master streams to get the fire under control. Crews worked at the scene for several hours cooling hot spots. The fire is under investigation by the county fire marshal.
- - Saturday 12/06/08 @ 08:53 - MVC Saturday morning Engine 291 was called to Corkery Lane and the Black Horse Pike for a reported motor vehicle crash. Command arrived on location and found the call to be in Station 295 local. Command from 295 arrived and advised Station 291, with enough apparatus at the scene, could handle the call. Engine 291 also established a helispot assignment to airlift the patient. Crews were available in 45 minutes.
- - Thursday 12/04/08 @ 06:13 - Dwelling Thursday morning Station 291 was called to Laurel Ave for a reported Chimney Fire. Command arrived on location and advised of light smoke coming from the chimney. Crews arrived shortly later and checked the dwelling for extension. They then went to the roof with a water can and chains to extinguish a hot fire inside the chimney. The station was available in about an hour.
- - Monday 12/01/08 @ 13:43 - Helispot Monday afternoon Engine 291 was called into Cecil to assist with a helispot assignment for victims of a 2 car accident with cars into the trees on Piney Hollow Road. Crews established the landing zone for Medivac 5. Once the patient was loaded and the helicopter off the ground Engine 291 went available.
