Engine 291 was called to Fries Mill Road on Friday afternoon for a motor vehicle crash with wires down. Crews arrived on location and found a car vs. pole with wires down. Atlantic City Electric was notified and reported to the scene. Upon their arrival they secured power to the area to work on the wires. Crews secured power to the vehicle and stood by until it was removed. Once the car was removed the Engine company went available while Police handled the remaining traffic control.

Station 291, along with Station 295, was called to Holly Glen School on North Main Street for a reported building fire. County advised they were told there was smoke coming from the building. Command arrived on location and reported nothing showing. Crews arrived shortly after and went into service investigating. It was determined that the smoke was from the smoke stack on the heating system and there was no fire. With no further fire department services needed both stations were made available.

Station 291 was called to Chestnut Street for a reported dwelling fire. First reports were of a heater fire in the basement. Command arrived on location with nothing showing. Crews arrived shortly after and went in service with a thermal imaging camera to verify that when the heater backfired it did not extend to the rest of the basement. The building was cleared and Station 291 was available within 12 minutes of dispatch.

Early Saturday morning crews from Engine 291 were alerted of a motor vehicle crash with entrapment and fire on Clayton Road. PD arrived on location and advised of negative entrapment and negative fire. The fire was found to be steam from the engine compartment. Once crews arrived on location they secured power to the vehicle and applied oil dry to the road. Shortly after the tow truck arrived and removed the car from the road. The engine company was available within 20 minutes.

Friday afternoon Station 291 was called to Crowfoot Lane for reported flames in the laundry room. Command arrived on location and advised of a working fire and requested the incoming crews to lead off with a water can. Upon entry crews found a smokey dryer fire that they were able to extinguish with a water can. The dwelling was cleared of smoke and the station went available within 90 minutes.

Station 291, along with Station 43-2 and Collings Lakes Station 23, were called to Piney Hollow Road and the Black Horse Pike to assist Station 29-5 and the State Forest Fire with a reported brush fire. Crews assisted the Forest Fire Service for some time and were then released. As of 1900 hours the State Forest Fire was still at the scene.

Engine 291 was called to York Avenue for a reported commercial vehicle fire. The first report from county was that a dump truck was on fire. Command arrived on location and advised of a well involved engine and passenger compartment. Crews arrived shortly after and went into service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line to extinguish the fire. County fire marshal was called to investigate. Local OEM was also called to the scene. All crews were available within the hour.

Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Pin Oak Road for a reported dwelling fire. Command arrived on location and advised of a fire in the front of the house. Crews arrived and were able to extinguish the blaze. The house suffered some minor damage to the vinyl siding and sofit. The County Fire Marshal investigated and determined the cause was an electrical short that caught mulch and hay on fire before extending to the house.

As members were preparing for the Annual Halloween Parade Engine 291 was called out to Clayton Road and the Bike Path for a reported brush fire. Command advised county he was able to see a smoke column from a mile out. Command arrived shortly after and confirmed a brush fire near the bike path. The fire was able to spread to a near by construction trailer located at the Middle School. Due to the fire being off of the main road Station 29-5's tanker, which was staging for the parade, was called to the scene. The fire was extinguished and the County Fire Marshal is investigating. All crews were able to return and fall in line as the parade started.

Engine 291 was called to Peter's Diner for a van leaking gas in the parking lot. Crews arrived and applied oil dry to the spill and an absorbent pad near the leak to contain the spill. Monroe Twp OEM was also on scene. Once the van was towed Engine 291 became available.

Saturday morning Station 291 was call for a dwelling on Miracle Drive, a reported oven fire. Command arrived and advised of heavy smoke from the building and requested the first in crews to lead off with water can and tool box. Crews arrived and extinguished the blaze with the water can and proceeded to vent the home to clear the smoke. The oven was removed from the dwelling and once the smoke cleared Station 291 went available.

Friday afternoon Engine 291 was called to the intersection of North Main Street and Tuckahoe Road for a motor vehicle crash involving 4 cars and a bicycle. Crews arrived and secured power to the vehicles and assisted the squad with the patients. Once all patients were removed and the vehicles towed Engine 291 went available.

During Fire Prevention Open House Station 291 was called to the Ridings Development for a dwelling fire. Crews responded with the first reports being an oven fire. While in route command was advised that the alarm company just reported a smoke alarm activation at the residence. Station 26-1 was added to the box due to light available manpower from the open house. A recall was later given when crews arrived and found a medium smoke condition and an extinguished fire. Crews cleared the home of the smoke and went available within 30 minutes. There was also a false automatic fire alarm call during the open house.
