Engine 291 was called out Tuesday morning for its fourth call in 6 hours. This was a working vehicle fire on the Black Horse Pike. Command arrived on location and advised of a fully involved van within 4 feet of a building. Crews arrived and went into service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line to extinguish the fire. The County Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate. The scene was turned over to Monroe PD and the Engine Company was available within 45 minutes.

Engine 291's third call for the morning was a reported dwelling fire on Butler Drive. Reports were of a burning rubber smell filling up the residence. PD arrived on location and advised they believed it to be a skunk that had sprayed the dogs in the backyard. Crews arrived on location and confirmed a strong skunk smell in the house. With no further fire department services needed the station went available.

While Engine 291 was out at an alarm call, command was advised of a second assignment in the local, a car vs pole on Blue Bell Road. A second crew still in route to the alarm diverted and proceeded to the accident. They arrived to a single car vs pole with negative entrapment. Crews secured power to the vehicle, applied oil dry to the roadway and remained on scene until the car was removed. Once removed Engine 291 went available. Crews cleared the false alarm call shortly after.

Monday morning Station 291 was called to Bryn Mawr Drive for a reported dwelling fire. First reports were of an electrical smell in the utility room. Command arrived on location and confirmed the reports. First in crews went in service with a thermal imaging camera to search the residence while crews outside cleared the odor with a fan. With nothing found and the smell cleared the company went available.

- - Friday 09/12/08 @ 13:18 - Dwelling
Friday afternoon Station 291 was called to Washington Ave for a reported dwelling fire. First reports were smoke and flames from the first floor. PD arrived on location and advised of a working fire. With light manpower, due to the firemen's convention, en route command immediately added Stations 29-5 and 43-3 along with Engine 1011. Command arrived on scene and advised of a working kitchen fire. Crews went in service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line to extinguish the blaze. The fire was placed under control at 13:40. County Fire Marshall was called to the scene and is investigating the fire.

- - Thursday 09/04/08 @ 13:04 - HazMat
Thursday afternoon Engine 291 was dispatched to Glassboro Road for a chemical off gassing in the back of a garbage truck. Workers on the truck reported a chlorine smell and throat irritation. County HazMat was dispatched to the scene. Crews arrived and secured the area and staged upwind awaiting hazmat. HazMat made a level C entry into the area for metering and monitoring. Crews found nothing and cleared the area. With no further fire department services needed the station went available.

Engine 291 was called to Whispering Woods Dr for a motor vehicle crash. Reports from county were that a male in his 40s may have had seizures and lost control of the car before hitting another car and a house. Crews arrived to find 2 cars involved in an accident in a driveway. Members assisted the squad and went available within 30 minutes.
