Late Monday evening Engine 291 was called to cover Clayton's local while their crews were out at a building fire. Engine 2911 responded to Station 41-1 with 6. Crews remained in Clayton until 23:46 before being released. No calls were handled in 41-1's local.

- - Friday 08/28/09 @ 18:46 - Dwelling
Friday afternoon Station 291 was called to Pitman Downer Road for a reported dwelling fire. Command signed on radio and was advised of heavy smoke coming from the rear of a dwelling in the area. After several minutes of investigating crews found a controlled burn that was putting off heavy smoke and due to the weather conditions the smoke was laying low to the ground. It was determined this was what the caller saw and the dwelling was canceled. The Station was available at 19:00

- - Wednesday 08/26/09 @ 16:02 - MVC
Wednesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to South Black Horse Pike for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. While in route command was advised that a car had rolled 3 times and broke thru a fence. Crews arrived and assisted in the extrication along with securing power to the vehicle and applying oil dry to the roadway. With the extrication complete and nothing further for the fire department to do the company was made available at 16:26. While on scene of the MVC Engine 291 handled a second call in Williamstown, an alarm system. That call was handled without incident and cleared at 16:30.

- - Tuesday 08/25/09 @ 01:49 - Tanker Task Force
Early Tuesday morning Engine 291 was called, as part of the Gloucester County Tanker Task Force, to Pilesgrove Township, in Salem County. Crews in the area were fighting a large hay fire and needed water. Engine 2913 responded to the scene and sent its crew forward to assist in fire suppression as man power was needed. Crews remained on location until 05:51 before being released so the members could report to work.

- - Wednesday 08/19/09 @ 18:35 - MVC
Wednesday evening Engine 291 was called to Blue Bell Road for a reported motor vehicle crash. Crews responded to the scene of a two car motor vehicle crash with injuries. While on scene crews applied oil dry to the road and secured power to the vehicles. With the power secured and the leaking fluids contained the majority of the crews were released while 1 engine remained on scene for the cars to be towed. At 19:28 with the cars removed the remaining engine company was made available.

- - Tuesday 08/18/09 - Multiple Calls
On Tuesday evening, as drill was ending, another round of strong Summer storms keeps Station 291 busy for a few hours. This time the station ran 5 calls in under 30 minutes. The majority of the calls were wire related due to lightning strikes and fallen tree limbs. All calls were handled without incident.

- - Friday 08/14/09 @ 18:25 - Fumes
On Friday afternoon, as crews were preparing for the Centennial Celebration, Engine 291 was called to Laurelton Village Apartments for reported fumes. Crews arrived and found a defective stove leaking natural gas. The gas to the stove was secured and maintenance was notified. With nothing further the Engine company was made available and went back to preparing for the festivities.

- - Thursday 08/13/09 @ 23:06 - Material Spill
Thursday evening Engine 291 was called to the Shop Rite parking lot for a reported fuel leak. Command arrived on location and found approximately 20 gallons of fuel leaking from an SUV in the parking lot. The area was secured, the leak contained and the local OEM was called to the scene. Once the car was towed the engine company was made available.

- - Thursday 08/13/09 @ 00:47 - Dwelling
Thursday morning Station 291 was called to Pitman Downer Road for a reported dwelling fire. While in route to the scene command was advised of smoke showing from the rear of the house. Shortly later command arrived on location with nothing showing. Crews arrived and began investigating the area. Nothing was found and the station was made available in just over 10 minutes.

With another batch of strong summer storms rolling through the area Sunday evening Station 291 was busy running multiple calls. During this round the station ran 6 calls in 3 hours. Calls ranged from wires to alarm systems and reported dwelling fires due to lightning strikes. All calls were handled without incident.

- - Saturday 08/08/09 @ 19:57 - Dwelling
Saturday evening Station 291 was called to Oak Street for a reported dwelling fire. Command signed on radio and was advised that the upstairs of the house was on fire. Shortly after he was also advised that PD was on location of a possible chimney fire. Crews responded to the scene and found a water boiler had backfired and the chimney was clogged with soot. Crews secured power to the boiler and checked for any extension into the dwelling. With the power secured and negative extension found the station was made available.

- - Sunday 08/02/09 Multiple Calls
During another round of heavy Summer storms Station 291 was again busy running calls. This time the station ran 7 calls in 3 hours. Calls included multiple alarm systems and wires down, a reported building fire and a cover assignment in 10-2. The building was dispatched during a power outage in the area and was determined to be a malfunctioning light fixture. All calls were handled without incident.

- - Saturday 08/01/09 @ 21:19 - MVC
Saturday evening Engine 291 was called to Glassboro Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Shortly after dispatch crews arrived and found a single car vs. pole with negative entrapment. A landing zone was requested by the squad and established at the middle school before being recalled by the medics. Crews on location of the accident secured power to the vehicle and assisted the squad. All companies were available at 21:29.
