- - Wednesday 12/30/09 @ 11:20 - Dwelling Wednesday morning Station 291 was called to the Mimosa Ridge Development for a reported dwelling fire. County advised that the caller sees flames and smoke in the bathroom. Soon after command arrived on location with smoke showing and completed the working fire box which added RIC 10-2 and Squad 29-4 to the call. Crews arrived and lead off with a 1 3/4 inch hand line and quickly extinguished the bathroom fire. The RIC was recalled. Crews also ventilated the dwelling with a fan to clear the smoke and checked for extension inside the dwelling. The Station was made available at 12:23. County and local fire marshals are investigating the fire.
- - Tuesday 12/29/09 @ 10:34 - Dwelling Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Black Oak Road for a reported dwelling fire. While in route command was advised that the caller stated an outlet was sparking, there were burn marks on the wall and the power was secured. Shortly after crews arrived confirmed the power was secured and used a thermal imaging camera to check the wall for fire. Nothing was found and the homeowner was advised to get the outlet fixed. The station was made available at 10:47.
- - Saturday 12/26/09 @ 18:41 - Wires Saturday evening Engine 291 was called out to Tara Drive for reported wires down. Command arrived in the area and advised dispatch that a primary wire had snapped and was lying on the wet ground causing a large brush fire near the house. Atlantic City Electric was notified. Crews arrived on location and secured the area until the electric company was able to turn the power to the neighborhood off. The Engine company was made available at 21:00.
- - Friday 12/25/09 @ 19:36 - CO Alarm Christmas night Engine 291 was called to Hessian Drive for a reported CO alarm. Crews arrived and went in service with a co meter to check the dwelling. While in service the meter was getting positive readings of CO inside the dwelling, near the stove. The power to the stove was secured and the dwelling was ventilated to remove the poisonous gas. Once the meters were back to normal levels the Engine company was made available.
- - Wednesday 12/23/09 @ 20:55 - Building Wednesday night Station 291 was called to the Wawa on Glassboro Road for a reported building fire. Command was advised the caller reported the duct smoke detector was sounding and there was a smell of something burning in the building. Upon arrival crews began investigating and found the cause to be a malfunctioning display case located in the store. Power was secured to the unit and management was notified of the situation. The station was clear at 21:25.
- - Wednesday 12/23/09 @ 09:59 - Dwelling Wednesday morning Station 291 was called to Francis Drive for a reported oven fire. Command arrived and found heavy smoke in the dwelling and an active oven fire. Crews arrived shortly after and went in service with a water can to extinguish the blaze while exterior crews began setting up ventilation to clear the dwelling of smoke. With the fire out and the smoke clear the station was made available at 10:33.
- - Tuesday 12/22/09 @ 16:01 - MVC Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to North Black Horse Pike for a reported single vehicle overturned in the median. While in route command was advised that the patient was able to self extricate. Crews arrived and secured power to the vehicle while awaiting a tow truck. Once the vehicle was upright and off the roadway the Engine company was made available.
- - Tuesday 12/22/09 @ 09:47 - Dwelling Tuesday morning Station 291 was called to Dartmoor Ave for a reported dwelling fire. Upon command arrival he advised of the smell of something burning and a light haze in the house. Crews arrived and began investigating to find the source of the haze. After some time it was determined the problem was a malfunctioning refrigerator motor. The power to the fridge was secured, the homeowner was advised of the problem and the station was made available.
- - Monday 12/21/09 @ 14:33 - Dwelling Monday afternoon Station 291 was called to Buckhorn Drive for a reported chimney fire. Command was advised the caller reported heavy smoke coming from a neighbor's chimney with no one home. Upon arrival, and speaking to the homeowner that was home, it was determined that the steam coming from the chimney was from a properly working, high efficiency heater. The station was quickly recalled.
- - Sunday 12/20/09 @ 14:00 - Vehicle In the wake of Saturday's record snowfall Engine 291 was dispatched for its second working vehicle fire in as many days. This call was for a reported working vehicle fire on Avery Drive. Crews responded and quickly knocked the vehicle fire down without injury. The company was made available at 14:32.
- - Saturday 12/19/09 @ 20:00 - Vehicle In the middle of the heaviest snowfall the area has seen in a long time Engine 291 was called to the Black Horse Pike for a reported vehicle fire. Engine 291 quickly responded since the Station had an engine staffed with volunteers from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon due to the snow. While in route they were advised of a working engine compartment fire. Upon arrival the engine crew confirmed a working fire and went in service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line. The fire was quickly brought under control and the engine company was made available.
- - Friday 12/18/09 @ 14:09 - MVC Friday afternoon Engine 291 was called to the Black Horse Pike, near Lake Ave, for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Command arrived and found negative entrapment. Crews secured power to the vehicles and applied oil dry to the roadway before becoming available at 14:26.
- - Sunday 12/13/09 @ 14:53 - MVC On a rainy Sunday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Williamstown Franklinville Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Shortly after dispatch command arrived on location and advised county of a single car vs tree with negative entrapment. The driver was found unconscious with a weak pulse and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The engine company was recalled and made available. Fire police remained on scene for some time directing traffic while the investigation was completed.
- - Saturday 12/12/09 @ 13:50 - Dwelling Saturday afternoon Station 291 was called to Clayton Road for a reported dwelling fire. As command was in route to the scene he was advised of 2 calls reporting black smoke showing and shortly later a third call reporting flames showing from the front. Command requested the box completed which started the RIC from 10-2 and Station 29-5 for a cover. Upon arrival he found a small fire near the front door. Crews arrived shortly after and went in service with a booster line to extinguish the blaze. The fire was quickly brought under control and the RIC and covers were recalled. Red Cross was requested to the scene along with the Electric Company and the County Fire Marshal.
- - Friday 12/11/09 @ 17:54 - Dwelling Friday evening Station 291 was called to Mannington Drive for a reported dwelling fire. Shortly after dispatch command arrived and found an extinguished oven fire. The first in engine was advised to proceed into the scene and secure the power to the oven and remove it from the dwelling. Once the oven was secured the station was made available.
- - Wednesday 12/09/09 @ 15:54 - MVC Wednesday afternoon Engine 291, along with Rescue 294 and Squad 299, was called to Kent Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Command was advised of a 2 car T-Bone accident at the intersection of Kent and Pine. Engine 2914 quickly arrived and went in service with their combination rescue tool to remove the patient. Extrication was complete at 16:08. Crews on scene also secured the power to the vehicles. With the patient removed and the cars off the roadway Engine 291 was made available at 16:13.
- - Monday 12/07/09 @ 22:37 - MVC Monday evening Engine 291 was called to the Black Horse Pike in front of Integrity Auto for a reported motor vehicle crash with fire. While in route command was advised that multiple calls reported a 2 car accident with one car fully involved and negative entrapment. Engine 2913 arrived to find a fully involved engine compartment with extension into the car's interior. Crews stretched a 1 3/4 inch hand line and went in service to extinguish the blaze. The fire was quickly brought under control without injuries. Crews remained on scene until shortly before midnight providing lighting while the police performed their investigation.
- - Wednesday 12/02/09 @ 09:57 - Cover 10-2 Wednesday morning Engine 291 was called to cover Station 10-3's Substation while district 10 crews were working at a 2 alarm building fire. Crews responded to their station where they remained until being released shortly before noon. No calls were run in their local while 291 crews were covering.
- - Tuesday 12/01/09 @ 15:19 - Dwelling Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to a house, possibly on Lois Drive, with heavy black smoke showing. Command quickly responded to the area and began looking for the house fire. After a short period of time command found a house matching the description given by dispatch that had smoke coming from the chimney. It was confirmed that the chimney was working properly and the station was recalled due to no fire department services being needed.
