Friday evening Engine 291 was called to the Black Horse Pike and Pine Ave for a helispot assignment. It was reported that the squad was on scene of a pedestrian vs. motor vehicle accident and was requesting the patient be flown. The fire department responded and established a landing zone at the Storage Depot on the Black Horse Pike. Shortly after, the helicopter was recalled and the patient was driven to Cooper Trauma. Fire crews remained at the scene assisting in traffic control for about 10 more minutes before becoming available.

Friday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Radix Road for reported fumes. Crews arrived shortly after dispatch and entered the dwelling with a meter to monitor CO levels. The meter detected very high levels of CO in the house. Crews went into service venting the dwelling with a fan until the CO had cleared. Engine 291 was available within 45 minutes.

Thursday morning Engine 291 was called to the intersection of Main Street and South Black Horse Pike for a reported vehicle fire. Dispatch advised PD was on scene of a car vs. pole, with the vehicle still running and smoking. The driver had fled the scene prior to PD arrival. Command arrived on location and found no fire. Crews arrived shortly after and secured the power to the vehicle. With no further fire department services needed the station went available.

Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 covered Washington Townships Station 10-2 Substation while District 10 was at a large house fire on Hurfville Road. Crews remained in 10-2's substation until being released at about 20:30. Engine 291did not run any calls for 10-2 while on the cover assignment.

Monday afternoon Station 291 was called to Silver Birch Road for a reported dwelling fire. The caller reported an electrical fire with visible smoke in the upstairs bedroom. Command arrived and found a fan motor had malfunctioned. The assignment was held to 1 engine. Shortly after, with the power secured and the smoke cleared, the station went available.

Sunday evening Engine 291 was called out twice, in two hours, for an alarm activation in the Brookdale Development. County advised that the homeowner lit the fireplace and now the alarms were sounding. Crews responded and assisted the homeowner with a faulty flu. On both calls crews checked the dwelling for extension and ventilated the home to clear the smoke and silence the alarms.

Early Sunday morning Station 291 was called to Glassboro for a reported dwelling fire on University Blvd. Crews arrived on location and assisted multiple crews on the fire ground. Station 291 crews remained on scene for about 90 minutes before being released.

On a frigid Friday night Station 291 was called to Glasgow Road for a reported dwelling fire. Dispatch advised command of a possible chimney fire. Crews arrived on location and went in service with the chimney chains to clear the fire. Due to extension the top part of the chimney and its surround was removed. Crews checked the rest of the chimney for extension and found none. The station was available within 45 minutes.

On a cold Thursday night Station 291 was called to Integrity Auto for a reported building fire. County advised heavy smoke was coming from the roofline of the building. Command arrived on location and advised he believed the smoke to be from a malfunctioning oil heater. Crews remained on scene for some time awaiting a key holder to gain access to the building. Once the key holder arrived crews made entry into the building and confirmed a malfunctioning heater unit. The heater was secured and Station 291 was available. While returning to station, Engine 291 was called for an alarm system on Main Street. Crews responded to the false alarm and were available within minutes.

Wednesday Engine 291 was called to Thoreau Lane for a reported brush fire. Command arrived on location and advised county to upgrade the call to a dwelling due to the brush fire extending to the siding on the house. The brush and siding fires were extinguished and the rest of the house checked for extension with a thermal imaging camera. Command requested Atlantic City Electric and South Jersey Gas to the scene due to compromised meters from the brush fire. The county fire marshal is investigating.

Sunday evening Station 291 was called to South Main Street for a reported dwelling fire. Dispatch advised the caller stated there was a light smoke condition in the basement and the smoke alarms were sounding. Command, and crews, arrived on location shortly after. Command advised of a heater backfire that caused a smoke condition. The power to the heater was secured and Station 291 was available.

Engine 291 was called to North Black Horse Pike for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Command arrived on location and advised of a 2 car crash with negative entrapment. Crews secured power to the vehicles and applied oil dry to the roadway. Once the cars were removed from the road Engine 291 was available.

Wednesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Carriage Drive to investigate smoke. Shortly after dispatch the call was upgraded to a dwelling. County advised smoke was coming from an outlet. Command arrived to nothing showing. Crews arrived shortly after and went into service with a thermal imaging camera to investigate. With the electricity to the home and secured and nothing found, the station went available.

Engine 291 was special called to the Williamstown High School for a custodian stuck in an elevator in between floors. Crews responded and assisted in extrication. With the custodian removed, the Engine company went available.

Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Janvier Road for a reported CO Alarm. Crews arrived and went into service with a CO meter which detected high levels of CO in the residence. The heater was secured and the residence ventilated. When the CO was removed the Engine company went available.

A serious motor vehicle crash on Clayton Road caused a power outage triggering multiple calls for Engine 291 crews. Crews handled the accident, 3 alarms systems, rubbish and a helispot for the accident victim within minutes of each other. All calls were handled without incident and crews were available by 0600.
