- - Wednesday 07/29/09 - Multiple Calls As heavy storms blew through the area for the second time this week Station 291 got hit for multiple calls. Crews ran a total of 10 calls in 3 hours ranging from brush fires to trees down and reported dwelling fires. All calls were handled without incident and the remainder of the night was quiet.
- - Monday 07/27/09 @ 13:46 - Fumes Monday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Sicklerville Road for a reported gas main break. Shortly after command arrived and found that a gas main had been struck and was leaking natural gas. Crews were able to secure the gas leak while waiting for South Jersey Gas to arrive. Once South Jersey Gas was on location the scene was turned over to them and Engine 291 was made available.
- - Sunday 07/26/09 @ 05:54 - MVC Early Sunday morning Engine 291 was called to Sicklerville Road for a reported motor vehicle crash. Command arrived and found a vehicle vs. pole with wires down. Crews secured power to the vehicle and remained on scene for the car to be towed and Atlantic City Electric to arrive. The Engine company was cleared at 06:37.
- - Saturday 07/25/09 @ 11:55 - Rescue Shortly before noon on Saturday Engine 291 was called to the Scotland Run Golf Course for a reported skydiver stuck in a tree. Command responded to the scene and found a sky diver about 30 feet up right off the first green. Crews arrived and were able to go in service with a ground ladder to rescue the patient. With the patient safely on the ground and nothing further for the fire department to do Engine 291 was made available at 12:30.
- - Thursday 07/23/09 @ 20:132 - Service Assignment Thursday evening Engine 291 was called to Lois Drive to check the structural integrity of a home that was damaged due to an earlier car vs house motor vehicle crash. Command arrived on location and began investigating. He determined there was no fire department services needed as the building and construction officials were already en route. The engine company was clear and available in just over 10 minutes.
- - Tuesday 07/21/09 @ 13:08 - Dwelling Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Ireland Terrace for a reported dwelling fire. Command was advised that the caller reported the basement to be filling with smoke. Shortly after command arrived and confirmed a smoke condition in the basement. Crews arrived and began investigating for the source of the smoke. It was determined that a sump pump was burning up and causing the conditions. The power was secured to the pump and crews began ventilating the basement. With the smoke clear and no further fire department services needed the station went available at 13:44.
- - Friday 07/17/09 @ 01:17 - CO Alarm Early Friday morning Engine 291 was called to the Madison Court Apartments for a reported CO alarm. Crews arrived and went in service with a CO meter to check the residence where they found levels as high as 60 PPM. Crews began to investigate further and found readings as high as 150 PPM in a common basement, near a boiler. The power to the boiler was secured and a fan was put in service to clear the caller's apartment and the basement. With the source secured crews began waking residents and checking the remaining apartments, a total of 10, where they found moderate levels in multiple apartments. Crews remained on scene for 2 hours clearing the residences of the CO before becoming available.
- - Tuesday 07/14/09 @ 12:05 - Brush Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Winslow Road for a reported brush fire. Crews responded and found a 10x10 area on fire. Brush truck 2915 arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. With the fire out and no further fire department services needed the engine company was made available at 12:16.
- - Monday 07/13/09 @ 16:21 - Dwelling Monday afternoon Station 291 was called to South Shore Drive, in the Cecil section of town, for a reported dwelling fire. The first report was of smoke coming from the stove with the house filling up and alarms sounding. Shortly after units from 29-5 arrived on location and confirmed the fire to be out and the house charged with smoke. Their crews began ventilation and recalled Station 291 since their services would not be needed.
- - Sunday 07/12/09 @ 01:12 - Dwelling Early Sunday morning Ladder 291 was called to Morris Drive in Winslow Township for a reported dwelling fire. Ladder 291 was called to answer one of several dwelling calls reported in Winslow due to lightning strikes and heavy storms in the area. Crews were in route to the scene when they were recalled by Winslow units already on location. There were no further calls for Station 291 for the duration of the heavy storms.
- - Friday 07/10/08 @ 11:38 - MVC Friday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Fries Mill Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. First reports were of a sport utility vehicle that overturned and came to rest on its roof with a single patient trapped and bleeding. Also involved was a minivan with minor injuries. Command arrived on location and requested the addition of 2 more rescue units. Shortly after, Engine 2914 arrived and went in service with the combination tool to perform the extrication. With the extrication complete the additional rescue units were recalled. Power to all cars was secured and with no further fire department services needed the Engine company was made available.
- - Tuesday 07/07/09 @ 13:32 - Rubbish Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Grandview Ave for a reported rubbish fire. Command was advised of multiple calls reporting a large trash can on fire near a garage door. He arrived shortly after and confirmed a 55 gallon trash can well involved. Crews arrived and went in service to extinguish the blaze. The fire was placed under control at 13:42. With no further fire department services needed the Engine Company was made available.
- - Tuesday 07/07/09 @ 09:05 - Dwelling Tuesday morning Station 291 was called to Dogwood Lane, in the Cecil section, for a reported dwelling fire. Command arrived on location with nothing showing. Shortly after he advised a trashcan fire was extinguished but the dwelling was charged with smoke. Crews arrived and assisted Station 295 with checking for extension and ventilating the dwelling. With negative extension and the smoke cleared Station 291 was made available. The county fire marshal is investigating.
- - Sunday 07/05/09 @ 16:14 - Rescue Sunday evening Ladder 291 was called to the Cross Keys Airport for a reported sky diver caught in a tree. Command arrived and found a skydiver about 30 feet up right at the edge of the tree line. He advised the ladder to go in service to make the rescue. Crews were able to bring the bucket right underneath the skydiver, scoop him up and return him safely to the ground. With no further fire department services needed the Ladder company was made available.
- - Sunday 07/05/09 @ 01:15 - Dwelling Early Sunday morning Station 291 was called to Dublin Court for a reported dwelling fire. Command signed on radio and was advised of an odor of something burning in the house and an audible smoke alarm sounding. Crews arrived and began investigating. It was determined that the smell was coming from the washer. The washer was secured and Station 291 was made available at 01:48.
- - Saturday 07/04/09 @ 21:36 - Brush During the fireworks display on July 4th task force 29, consisting of a ladder from Station 291, Rescue/Brush truck from Station 295 and an engine and command unit from Station 433, was called for a brush fire in the retention pond on Bryn Mawr Drive. Command arrived on location and found 6 boxes of fireworks on fire. Shortly after crews arrived and went in service to extinguish the blaze. The fire was quickly put out and the scene was turned over to the Monroe Twp Police to investigate.
- - Thursday 07/02/09 @ 14:21 - Dwelling The fourth call of the day for Station 291 was the second reported dwelling fire in 4 hours. This call was for reported heavy smoke in the basement of a home on Nightshade Drive. Command arrived on scene and reported a light haze on the first floor with the occupants evacuated. Crews arrived and began investigating to find the cause of the smoke. It was determined the smoke was from careless cooking and crews began ventilating the dwelling to clear it of the smoke. With the smoke clear and no further fire department services needed the station was made available at 14:36.
- - Thursday 07/02/09 @ 13:35 - MVC Engine 291 was called to the intersection of Sicklerville Road and the Black Horse Pike for a head-on motor vehicle crash with negative entrapment. Crews arrived and secured power to the vehicles and applied oil dry to leaking fluids on the roadway. Once the cars were removed the Engine company was made available at 14:08.
- - Thursday 07/02/09 @ 12:04 - Dwelling Thursday afternoon, as Engine 291 was clearing from an alarm system at Shop Rite, Station 291 was called to Winslow Road, in the Cecil section, for a reported dwelling fire. As crews were in route to the fire they were advised that the caller reported a gas dryer fire with flames showing. Shortly after command arrived on location and reported a single family dwelling with light smoke showing. Crews went in service assisting Station 295 with extinguishing the blaze and clearing the house of smoke. The station was made available shortly after 12:30.
