- - Saturday 06/27/09 @ 13:29 - Building Saturday afternoon Station 291 was called to the Pike Inn for a reported building fire. Command signed on radio and was advised that the caller reported they lit a cigarette and the room burst into flames. Shortly after command arrived with nothing showing and began investigating. He discovered the fire to be out and found that a lady, on oxygen, had lit a cigarette causing the oxygen to ignite. She received burns to the hand and face. Crews arrived and assisted the squad with packaging the patient. Once the patient was in the ambulance the Station was made available. The county fire marshal is investigating.
- - Monday 06/22/09 @ 17:06 - Brush Monday evening Engine 291 was called to North Main Street for a reported brush fire. Command arrived on location and found a tree in the woods on fire. Brush truck 2915 arrived and went in service to extinguish the blaze. With the fire out and no further fire department services needed the Engine Company was made available at 17:49.
- - Monday 06/22/09 @ 11:59 - Fuel Leak At noon Monday Engine 291 was special called to Logan Township to provide man power and assist crews already on scene of a rail car leak. Crews responded to the scene where they remained until 17:37. While on location crews stood by with ready hose lines and assisted in foam operations while the Ethanol leak was controlled. The leak was stopped and the incident was resolved without injuries.
- - Monday 06/22/09 @ 00:01 - MVC Just after midnight Monday morning Engine 291 was called to Clayton Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Within minutes command arrived on location of a single pick up vs pole with the driver heavily entrapped. Crews responded to the scene and assisted the rescue and medics with the entrapment and patient care. A helicopter landing zone was requested and established by Engine 291 crews at the Veterans Cemetery. The extrication was completed in about 30 minutes and the patient was transported to the landing zone where he was flown to Cooper Hospital. Crews were available shortly before 02:00, once the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
- - Friday 06/19/09 @ 13:33 - Dwelling Friday afternoon Station 291 was called to Corkery Lane, in the Cecil section, for a reported dwelling fire. Dispatch advised command that the caller smelled and saw smoke in the kitchen. Crews arrived on location shortly after and found a malfunctioning stove. Station 29-5 crews handled the call and released Station 291.
- - Friday 06/19/09 @ 07:47 - Dwelling Friday morning Station 291 was called to Franklin Township, in the Star Cross section, for a reported dwelling fire. Reports were of a fire in the basement. Crews responded to the scene and staged at Station 43-3. Shortly later all mutual aid was cleared and the call was held to Station 43-3 crews. Station 291 was back in quarters shortly after 0800.
- - Thursday 06/18/09 @ 11:58 - Building Shortly before noon Thursday Station 291 was called to the Star Motel, in Cecil, to assist with a building fire. Crews responded to what was reported as an apartment with smoke showing. When Station 291 crews arrived on location the bulk of the fire had already been knocked down. Crews assisted with overhaul before being released at 12:20.
- - Friday 06/12/09 @ 23:04 - Dwelling Friday night Station 291 was dispatched to Jasmine Lane, in the Cecil section, for an all hands working dwelling fire. Station 295 was already on location of a well involved mobile home fire. Crews arrived and assisted Station 295 and Atlantic County Station 23 with cooling hot spots and pulling ceilings in the dwelling. With the fire under control the remainder of the members assisted in getting trucks back in service. With nothing further for Station 291 the company was made available within an hour.
- - Friday 06/12/09 @ 19:53 - Helispot Friday evening Engine 291 was called to White Hall School for a helispot assignment to transport a patient from a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Corkery Lane that Station 295 was handling. Crews responded to the school and established a landing zone for MediVac5. The helicopter landed at the landing zone and the patient was loaded. Once the helicopter was in the air again Engine 291 was made available.
- - Tuesday 06/09/09 @ 16:18 - Dwelling Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Nelson Drive for a reported dwelling fire. While in route command was notified that a car had exploded in an attached garage and shortly after was advised of multiple calls reporting flames showing. Command filled the box for a dwelling fire and began requesting area tankers due to the dwelling being out of the water district. Upon arriving on location he found a fully involved attached garage. First in crews were instructed to lead off with a 2 1/2 inch hand line to knock the garage down while interior crews made an aggressive attack preventing the fire from spreading thru the attic to the rest of the house. Foam was used on the stubborn car and gasoline fire in the garage. The fire was placed under control within an hour, without injuries, and is being investigated by county and local fire marshals.
- - Sunday 06/07/09 @ 22:47 - Investigate Smoke/Dwelling Sunday evening Engine 291 was called to Clayton Road for an investigate smoke. Immediately after dispatch the call was upgraded to dwelling due to smoke in the house. Command advised dispatch he was responding and dispatched stated a mulch fire with possible extension into the dwelling and smoke in the house. Shortly later crews arrived and confirmed a mulch fire with smoke in the dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished and the house checked for extension. With negative extension and no further fire department services needed the station went available.
- - Thursday 06/04/09 @ 13:23 - Dwelling Thursday afternoon Station 291 was called to Pine Drive, in the Cecil section of town, for a reported dwelling fire. Command arrived on location with light smoke showing from the crawl space. First in crews were advised to go in service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line to extinguish a small fire in the crawl space. The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes. Station 291 crews remained on scene assisting Station 295 until released at 14:19.
- - Tuesday 06/02/09 @ 21:32 - Investigate Smoke As members were returning to the station from a foam drill crews found a large concentration of smoke near Glassboro Road and Eldridge Ave. Upon further investigation it was determined the smoke was coming from an illegal burn in the area. The homeowner was advised of the law and extinguished the blaze. Members returned to station shortly after.
