Friday afternoon Station 291 was dispatched to St. Matthews Community Development Center for a reported building fire. While en route command was advised by dispatched that the building was reported to be smoky in the area of the pool. Crews arrived on scene shortly later and began investigating. It was determined that a fan for the pool area was pulling in exhaust from outside and filling the area with a layer of exhaust. Crews checked the area with a four gas meter and CO meter. The pool was advised to be shut down until the problem was fixed. With no further fire department services needed the Station was made available.

Thursday evening Engine 291 was called to Clayton Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with 3 cars involved and at least one overturned. Command responded directly to the scene and upon his arrival found a minor MVC with no overturned vehicles. With no fire department services needed command made the company available.

Wednesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Gregory Drive for a reported dwelling fire. Command responded to the scene and found that the oven had caught fire while self cleaning. Upon crew arrival the fire was out but the house was charged with smoke. Crews went in service clearing the house of smoke and checking for extension. With the smoke cleared and negative extension the Station was made available.

- - Saturday 05/16/09 @ 19:31 - Helispot
Saturday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Herbert Blvd for a helispot assignment. Command signed on radio and was advised by dispatch that a parachuter hit the ground hard and was bleeding from the mouth and ear. Shortly after, command was advised that the helicopter was grounded due to weather in the area. Engine 291's assignment was disregarded.

- - Thursday 05/14/09 @ 19:14 - Wires
Thursday evening, during heavy winds, Engine 291 was called to Pitman Downer Road for a reported blown transformer. Shortly after command arrived on location and confirmed a blown transformer with power out in the area. Dispatch advised command that Atlantic City Electric was experiencing heavy call volume and could not provide an ETA. As crews were packing up since there was nothing the fire department could do Atlantic City Electric pulled up the street. Engine 291 was clear in less than 20 minutes.

- - Wednesday 05/13/09 @ 00:16 - Vehicle
Shortly after midnight Wednesday morning Engine 291 was called to the intersection of Glassboro Road and Jobs Lane for a reported vehicle fire. While command was in route dispatch advised of a vehicle smoking after an accident. Crews arrived shortly after and found a 2 car motor vehicle crash with negative fire. Crews secured the power to the vehicles and remained on scene until the cars were removed from the roadway.

On a rainy Monday morning Engine 291 was called to the intersection of Corkery Lane and Clayton Road for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Command arrived on location and advised of a 2 car head on motor vehicle crash with 1 person trapped. Crews arrived and went in service with the Combo Tool on Engine 2914 to remove the patient. With the patient removed and the cars cleared from the roadway Engine 291 was made available in just over 20 minutes.

Early Sunday morning Engine 291 was called to the intersection of Fries Mill Road and Cross Keys Road for a 3 car motor vehicle crash with negative entrapment. Crews arrived and went in service securing the power to the vehicles and assisting the squad with patient care. With the patients removed and no further fire department services needed the Engine Company was made available within 25 minutes.
