Thursday morning Engine 291 was called to cover Washington Township's Station 10-2 while District 10 was at the scene of a building fire. Crews responded to Station 10-2's sub station where they remained until being released at 08:19. No calls were run in District 10's local while at the cover.

- - Tuesday 09/22/09 @ 16:31 - Building
Tuesday afternoon Station 291 was called to Saybrook Ave for a reported building fire. Command responded and while in route was advised by county that the neighbor had called reporting heavy smoke from a vacant building next door. Within minutes command arrived to find light smoke coming from the eaves on the side of the building. He completed the box for a working building fire bringing the Squad and RIC from 10-2. Engine 2913 and Ladder 2916 arrived and went in service. Crews forced entry into the building and quickly found and extinguished a small fire. With the fire extinguished command recalled the RIC. The county fire marshal was requested to the scene to investigate the fire.

- - Tuesday 09/22/09 @ 11:17 - MVC
Tuesday morning Engine 291, along with the Squad, Rescue and Life Support 3, were called to Glassboro Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. As command was responding he was advised that the call was for a commercial motor vehicle vs. pole with wires down and the driver not out. Shortly after command arrived and confirmed negative entrapment but wires down and a significant fuel leak. Local OEM was notified. Crews were able to plug the tank but not until after approximately 20-40 gallons of fuel had leaked out. Command also notified dispatch that primary wires were down in the trees which were now on fire. Atlantic City Electric was notified. Once the fluids were contained, the power to the vehicle was secured and the Electric Company was on scene the Engine company was made available. However the road was closed for some time while the utilities were restored.

- - Monday 09/21/09 @ 01:25 - Dwelling
Early Monday morning Station 291 was called to Laurelton Village Apartments for a reported dwelling fire. As crews were in route they were advised that an outlet was smoking in an apartment with nothing plugged into it and that the power had gone out in the apartment. Shortly after command arrived on scene and advised of a small fire in the wall. The small blaze was extinguished by a police fire extinguisher prior to crews arriving. With crews on scene they proceeded to open the wall up, check for extension and ventilate the dwelling to clear it of the smoke. With negative extension found and the smoke cleared the Station was made available at 02:22. The County Fire Marshal is investigating.

- - Monday 09/14/09 @ 20:18 - Dwelling
Monday evening Station 291 was called to Brandywine Drive for a reported dwelling fire. While command was in route to the scene he was advised the caller stated smoke detectors were going off in the neighbor's house and there was a smell of smoke outside. Command was later advised that nobody was home at the dwelling and the caller could see a pot on the stove possibly on fire. Crews arrived shortly after and were able to make entry into the home where they found a pot left unattended on the stove with negative fire. Crews began ventilating the dwelling due to the house being charged with smoke. With the smoke clear and no further fire department services needed the station was made available at 20:46

During a strong late Summer storm Engine 291 was called to Forest Drive to remove a large tree that had fallen across the roadway. Crews responded to the scene during heavy lightening and rain to quickly cut and remove the tree allowing the road to open again.

- - Thursday 09/10/09 @ 20:04 - MVC
Thursday evening Engine 291 was called to Tuckahoe Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Shortly later EMS arrived and advised of negative entrapment but a single car was overturned in the woods. Crews responded to the scene to assist the squad with the patients, await a tow truck and secure power to the vehicle. Once the car was removed Engine 291 was made available.

- - Wednesday 09/09/09 @ 08:24 - Wires
On Wednesday morning Engine 291 was called to Madison Ave for a tree reported to be laying across telephone wires. While in route crews were advised that PD was on location and requested the fire department due to a school bus stop being near the fallen branch. Crews arrived shortly later and removed the branches from the telephone wires. The company was clear at 08:54.

- - Sunday 09/06/09 @ 02:41 - Dwelling
On Sunday morning Station 291 was called to New Brooklyn Road for a reported dwelling fire. While command was in route he was advised of smoke in the basement. Shortly after command arrived on scene and found a light haze in the basement. Crews arrived and began investigating. Upon further investigation it was determined that a sump pump had malfunctioned. The power to the pump was secured and crews began to vent the dwelling. With the smoke clear and no further fire department services needed the Station was made available 03:17.

Friday morning Engine 291 was called to Bryn Mawr Drive for a brush fire. Shortly after dispatch crews arrived to find a mulch fire in a flower bed next to the house. The fire was quickly extinguished before being able to extend to the dwelling. With the fire out the Engine company was made available at 09:57.

As members were home trying to get some sleep after being up for an extended time with an alarm system at Oak Knoll School Station 291 was called to Meadowview Nursing Home for a reported building fire. While in route command was advised that smoke was coming from the mechanical room in the B unit. Crews responded to the scene where they found a malfunctioning heater. Power to the heater was secured and Station 291 was clear at 05:14.
