Saturday evening Station 291 was called to Radix Road for a reported dwelling fire. While in route command was advised that the caller stated smoke was pouring from a garage and a strong smell of oil burning was in the air. Command arrived on location with smoke showing and completed the working fire box which added Squad 29-4 and RIC 10-2 to the assignment. Engine 2911 arrived on scene and secured a hydrant while making their way back to the building. Interior crews quickly found the source to be a malfunctioning oil burner in the garage and secured the power. Crews set up ventilation to remove the smoke from the building and went available at 17:49.

Saturday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Tuckahoe Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Command arrived on location and found a single vehicle vs. tree with a male driver unconscious and entrapped. The helicopter was requested to be flown and later recalled. The patient was extricated within 7 minutes of dispatch. With no further fire department services needed the Engine company was cleared.

On a snowy Thursday morning Engine 291 was called to the rear of Peligrino Buick/GMC for a reported vehicle fire. While in route command was advised of an active fire near the battery compartment. Upon arrival it was determined that an employee extinguished the small blaze with a fire extinguisher. The company was quickly cleared.

Monday evening Station 291 was called to Blue Bell Road for a reported chimney fire. Crews arrived to a single story house with nothing showing and began investigating. Interior crews checked the walls with a thermal imaging camera while exterior crews laddered the building and checked the roof and the chimney. The fire was found to be out with negative extension. The Station was made available at 22:54.

Sunday evening Station 291 was called to Briarwood Drive for a reported fire in the bathroom. While command was in route he was advised that the caller stated their bathroom fan was on fire and the smoke detectors were sounding. Crews arrived with nothing showing and began investigating. Crews secured power to the residence and found the fire to be out. Exterior crews provided ventilation to remove the smoke from the dwelling. With the fire out and the smoke clear Station 291 was made available at 21:57.

Wednesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Redwood Court for a reported vehicle fire. Shortly after dispatch command arrived on location and confirmed a fully involved engine compartment fire. Crews arrived and quickly brought the fire under control. The Engine company was made available in just under 20 minutes.

Sunday evening Station 291 was called to Bavarian Way for a reported basement fire. Command arrived on location with a light smoke condition inside the residence. Upon further investigation it was determined the fire was extinguished. Crews continued into the scene and provided ventilation to remove the smoke from the dwelling. Once the smoke was clear Station 291 was made available.

Shortly after midnight Saturday Station 291 was called to the Madison Court Apartments for a reported building fire in the office. Command quickly arrived on location and began investigating. The source was determined to be steam coming from a store behind the unit in question. The station was quickly recalled.

During the second major winter storm in a week and the third for the season Station 291 crews once again staffed both 291 stations for over 24 hours. This storm caused several trees to fall on roadways and wires. Crews also followed the ambulance again to provide assistance with shoveling and patient transport.

During the second blizzard of the season volunteer crews staffed both 291 stations for over 24 hours to ensure fire trucks got on the street if needed. The majority of the calls were to follow the ambulance and assist with shoveling and patient transport. No major fire incidents were reported.

Thursday morning Engine 291 was called to the Best Western Hotel on the Black Horse Pike for a reported vehicle fire. Command arrived on location and confirmed a working engine compartment fire. Crews arrived and went in service with a 1 3/4 inch hand line to extinguish the fire while other crews used a saw to gain access to the Engine. The fire was placed under control and the Engine company was made available at 09:08.
