Crews assembled at the station and headed out to the scene. Crews searched approximately 4 acres of heavily wooded area looking for a person of interest to the PD. The person was eventually located at a house on Herbert Blvd. With nothing further for the fire department to do the company was made available at 19:50.
- - Wednesday 08/25/10 @ 22:04 - Dwelling Wednesday evening Station 291 was called to Matisse Way for a reported dwelling fire. Crews arrived and found a burning odor in the residence and the door bell was very hot to the touch. The power was secured and crews checked for any hot spots using a thermal imaging camera. No fire was found and the homeowner was advised to have their door bell looked at by an electrician. The Station was made available at 22:19.
- - Monday 08/23/10 @ 07:52 - Dwelling Monday morning Station 291 was called to Trinidad Blvd for a reported dwelling fire. While in route command was advised the caller stated their neighbor knocked on the door saying the roof of their house was on fire. Command arrived and found the smoke to be dew that was evaporating off the roof. The Station was quickly made available.
- - Sunday 08/22/10 @ 07:09 - Vehicle Sunday morning Engine 291 was called to Meadowview Nursing Home for a reported vehicle fire in the parking lot. While in route command was advised that dispatch was getting an alarm notification for the building due to smoke from the burning vehicle. Command arrived and found a working engine compartment fire that was partially knocked down with extinguishers on location. Crews continued into the scene to cool the rest of the car down and provide ventilation to the building to remove the smoke that got in. The company was made available at 07:36.
- - Saturday 08/21/10 @ 12:02 - Aircraft Down Shortly after noon on Saturday Station 291 was called to the area of Tuckahoe Road for a reported aircraft down. Command arrived and confirmed a single engine aircraft had crash landed on top of a car shortly after taking off from Carters Airfield. The pilot was out of the plane and walking around. He was transported by Squad 294 to the local hospital with minor injuries. With the FAA notified and nothing further for the fire department to do the Station was made available at 12:16.
- - Thursday 08/19/10 @ 16:18 - Vehicle Thursday evening Engine 291 was called to Glassboro Road for a reported motorcycle vs truck with both vehicles on fire and someone running away from the scene. Crews arrived and confirmed a motorcycle on fire which was quickly extinguished. Monroe PD is investigating the crash.
- - Tuesday 08/17/10 @ 15:00 - Assist PD Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Shop Rite to assist the Police Department with a child that was locked inside a car. Crews responded to the scene with a lock out tool kit and assisted with gaining access. The company was released at 15:10.
- - Tuesday 08/17/10 @ 08:57 - Dwelling On a steamy Tuesday morning Stations 291 and 295 were called to South Black Horse Pike for a reported dwelling fire. Command arrived on scene with smoke showing and completed the working fire box adding the squad to the job. Crews arrived, forced entry and went in service with 2 1/2 and 1 3/4 inch hand lines to bring the fire under control while a second crew went to the roof and provided vertical ventilation by cutting a hole in the roof. A tanker from Collings Lakes in Atlantic County was requested to the job. The fire was placed under control at 09:28 and crews remained on scene mopping up until 10:10.
- - Friday 08/14/10 @ 23:20 - Dwelling Friday evening Station 291 was called to South Main Street for a reported dwelling fire. As command was in route he was advised that dispatch had multiple calls reporting flames showing from the front of the house with unknown occupancy. Once command was on location he advised the fire was out and was contained to the siding on the front of the house. Crews continued into the scene to check for extension, cool hot spots and provide ventilation to remove the smoke from the residence. The station was made available shortly after midnight.
- - Thursday 08/12/10 @ 12:48 - Dwelling Thursday afternoon Station 291 was called to Howard Drive for a reported dwelling fire. Command was advised the caller stated they heard a pop in the wall and there was a smoke condition in the room. Shortly later command arrived and confirmed a smoke condition in the residence. Crews went to work and found an electrical fire that was working its way through the walls. They pulled the drywall down to expose and extinguish the fire. With the power secured and the fire out the station was made available at 13:24.
- - Wednesday 08/11/10 @ 14:06 - Brush Engine 291 was called out for yet another brush fire due to extremely dry conditions. This was for several bushes on fire in the median near Glassboro Cross-Keys Road. Crews arrived and put the burning bushes out. The company was made available at 14:21.
- - Tuesday 08/10/10 @ 16:40 - Brush Tuesday afternoon Engine 291 was called to the Starbucks on the Black Horse Pike for a reported mulch fire. Crews arrived and put brush truck 2915 in service to extinguish the smoldering fire. The company was available at 16:51.
- - Friday 08/06/10 @ 17:17 - Brush Friday afternoon Engine 291 was called to North Main Street for a reported brush fire with a visible column of black smoke coming from the woods. Crews responded to the scene and went in service with forestry lines to quickly bring the fire under control. The company was made available at 17:45.
- - Thursday 08/05/10 @ 13:08 - MVC Thursday afternoon Engine 291 was called to Sicklerville Road for a reported motor vehicle crash. Command arrived on location with negative entrapment but did have airbag activations. Crews arrived and secured power to the vehicles and applied oil dry to the roadway to absorb leaking fluids. With nothing further for the fire department to do the Engine Company was made available at 13:22.
